Particles PP of mass 0.4 kg0.4\text{ kg} and QQ of mass 0.5 kg0.5\text{ kg} are free to move on a smooth horizontal plane. PP and QQ are moving directly towards each other with speeds 2.5 m s12.5\text{ m s}^{-1} and 1.5 m s11.5\text{ m s}^{-1} respectively. After PP and QQ collide, the speed of QQ is twice the speed of PP.

Find the two possible values of the speed of PP after the collision.
