In this experiment, you will investigate the upthrust on an object partly immersed in water.

(a)

Measure and record the height HH of the flask, as shown in Fig. 1.1.

Assemble the apparatus as shown in Fig. 1.2, with the bottom of the flask approximately 4 cm below the water surface.
