In this experiment, you will investigate how the potential difference across a resistor changes as the resistance of the circuit is changed.

(i)

Set up the circuit shown in Fig. 1.1.

The two crocodile clips attached to the wires on the wooden strips should be approximately half-way along each of the wires.

(ii)

Measure and record the lengths aa and bb.

Close the switch.

(v)
