In this experiment, you will investigate how the motion of a thin card shape depends on where the shape is supported.
You are provided with a T-shaped card. The card has a mark on it and 14 holes.
Label the holes on the card, 1 to 14, starting from the top end as shown in Fig. 1.1.
Set up the apparatus, placing the pin through hole number 9, as shown in Fig. 1.2.
Measure and record the distance between the pin and the mark.

Displace the card shape to the left. Release the shape and watch its movement.
The shape will move to the right and then to the left again, completing a swing as shown in Fig. 1.3.
Measure and record the time for at least 10 swings.
