Two separate experiments were carried out, with different NaOH\text{NaOH} concentrations.

The graph below shows the results of an experiment using [NaOH]=0.10 mol dm3[\text{NaOH}] = 0.10 \text{ mol dm}^{-3}.

When the experiment was repeated using [NaOH]=0.15 mol dm3[\text{NaOH}] = 0.15 \text{ mol dm}^{-3}, the following results were obtained.

Nitric oxide, NO\text{NO}, and bromine vapour react together according to the following equation.

2NO(g)+Br2(g)2NOBr(g)ΔH=23 kJ mol12\text{NO(g)} + \text{Br}_2\text{(g)} \rightarrow 2\text{NOBr(g)} \quad \Delta H = -23 \text{ kJ mol}^{-1}

The reaction has an activation energy of +5.4 kJ mol1+5.4 \text{ kJ mol}^{-1}.
